MATTHEW NADU (CALVIN)

Matthew Nadu began his acting career as a Water Nation Warrior in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender although he lied about knowing any type of karate. He eventually adapted and would go on to do his own stunts as “Sarge” in the comedy Booted starring Alan Ruck (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Spin City) and Ryan Dunn (Jackass). From there he went on to hold supporting leads in two indie slashers Nobody Gets Put Alive (2013) with Clint Howard (The Water Boy, Apollo 13) and Hallow’s Eve (2012) with horror queens Danielle Harris and Ashley C. Williams. In 2013 Nadu again found himself with Howard and Williams along with horror staples Bill Moseley and Lisa Wilcox as an actor and producer on the thriller The Church.

After co-starring in several shorts including Party Smashers with comedian Bob Levy and This Man’s Life with Brian Anthony Wilson (Limitless, Rounders) Nadu is starring and producing the movie Dreams slated to start filming in 2013 with former Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson and The Prison rumoring to also star David Morse and Craig T. Nelson. He’s also producing and appearing in the indie hockey dramedy The Independents (2013) teaming up with close friend actor and writer Shaun Paul Costello for the fifth time. Perhaps Nadu’s big break came during the summer of 2012 when he appeared as a car salesman with Harrison Ford and Liam Hemsworth in the film Paranoia schedule to hit theaters in 2013.

Nadu has also worked as the lead in several theater productions including Derrell Lawerence’s “Do You Trust Your Best Friend?” and Stockholm Fringe Festival invitee “As Wicked As Dangerous.”
